Bun In A Bin

Miss Misty loved to move her hay around her x-pen and "decorate" with it which led to more of it being sat on then eaten! In order to keep her home tidier and the hay more "munchable" I got her a wire basket and attached it to the x-pen. I placed her litter box next to it so she could continue to sit in it while she munched out of her new hay rack. She was apparently so excited by the new hay rack she promptly jumped into it to eat! I then moved it further off the ground but as you can see by the pictures the girl is not afraid of heights! I wonder...how high can she fly???

Sally and Lucy go to school!

If you're thinking these bunnies look somewhat familiar you would be correct! Sally and Lucy are Lofa Chewy Goodness Bun's sisters!!!!!! They are being fostered by a gal named Amy and her family. Amy works at an elementary school so the buns got to go for a fun play day which they seemed by the pictures to enjoy. The kids gave Sally and Lucy lots of love and attention plus they got a snack and a chance to nap in a cubicle when they were tuckered out.....is there anything better than a snack and your own cubicle????? Thanks Amy and family for giving such love and care to the foster buns....YOU ROCK!

Bambi finds her forever human!

Little Miss Bambi has found her human!!!! I was contacted by a gal who was smitten like a kitten when when saw Bambi on the Humane Society website. Turns out she had plenty of bunny experience specifically with small bunnies with big attitudes and happens to love them...:) After e-mailing back and forth for a few weeks a meet and greet was set up and both Bambi and her person hit it off right away and that was the beginning of what will hopefully be a long and "hoppy" relationship! Congratulations Bambi on being recognized for the fabulous gal you are, I will miss you!

Introducing Bambi!

Please meet " Bambi" the Netherland Dwarf with the small stature but BIG personality!!! Bambi came to stay with me as she was very cage aggressive at the shelter and did not like being handled at all......:( Although still getting use to being picked up(its scary when you're so little!)
she is much calmer now and has taken to falling asleep on my lap while being petted. She will probably always have a little "attitude" which is common with the dwarf breeds but if someone is willing to be patient and give her lots of love they will be rewarded with a great companion....are you a match for Bambi?

More Food Please!

Its truly amazing the amount of food a baby bunny can put away at each feeding time. I know horses have always been referred to as "Hay Burners" but I'll put my rabbit family up against them anyday!! They are always up for a meal whether salad, pellets or more hay.... the gray/white one in the bottom picture always makes sure to keep on eye on you in case you make a move for her snack! They are filling out nicely and will be seperated into their boy/girl catagories for living arrangements very soon! I could just sit and watch them all day...

JUPITER...AKA "ROCKET MAN"

Please meet my bunny buddy "Jupiter". His name when he came to the shelter was Juniper, but after bringing him home and watching him during free play time it was obvious Jupiter was a more fitting name. He loves to rocket around the living room and is very skilled in "happy dance" moves! He's a curious fellow who loves to explore and makes sure to make the rounds of all the foster bunnies... someone might be doing something fun he can join in on!!! Someone with bunny experience that would have time to interact and let him run free(he gets bored and chews on his cage wires if left in to much) would be a good match for Jupiter....he's a fun bun and would love to get settled into his permanent home.

MISS MARVELOUS MISTY!!!

Miss Misty came to me as her former humans weren't able to spend enough time with her and she became cage aggressive at the shelter. Her home here is an x-pen with a carrier(door off) for a place to relax-with a soft blanket inside of course, lots of toys and room to hop around. She is a much happier rabbit not being to confined.... To Misty knowledge is power and she loves to "know" what you're up to, and to be able to follow along with you is even better! She's a spunky bun and would do great with someone with rabbit experience. I get a "kick" out of Misty, are you her forever human(s)?

LUNCH AND A NAP PLEASE!

These babies are still to little to stay up for dinner and a movie, but they do lunch and a nap perfectly!!! They all have big appetites since they are growing so fast and mommas are still letting them nurse in the evening as I got to witness last night. The babies were all upside down and just their 10 little legs stuck up in the air, making momma look like a centipede! Look how big their getting!!!!

Baby Bunny Play Time!

A big plastic dog kennel was donated to the fosters and after removing the bolts and door, and seperating the top and bottom, it's become the perfect playpen! There's room to move around and exercise plus they can socialize with their cousins.....also since we are not fully litter box trained the plastic bottoms work great if there's
accidents! They love their food and are growing so fast!!!

Winkin'...Lincoln....and Todd!

If you love bunnies with glossy soft black fur, soulful brown eyes and big pointy ears.....I have babies for you!! These sweeties are approximately 11 weeks old and came home with me from a feed store to save them from being snake food, as in my opinion they were past the appropriate size to be a meal! Their 3 peas in a pod a far as looks and personality. They love to be out and about exploring. They have great appetites and love their veggies, pellets and alfalfa hay.....

They would each love to find a forever home and think YOU'D be perfect!!!!

Whose This Handsome Bun?

It's my pleasure to introduce you to "Lofa" who is the foster bunny of my friend Shana....actually his full name is "Lofa Chewy Goodness Bun"and here is what his foster mama has to say about this fella: Lofa is a 3 month old gray and white lop with very handsome markings including a heart that surrounds his busy nose. He's very, very cuddly, loves to be held, and also loves his hop around time. During his hop around time he likes to check out our dogs when they are in their crates and goes nose to nose with them. He shows no fear but has only met them thru the bars.
He's a curious fella but would prefer to cuddle on a shoulder, the right shoulder please! Loves his veggies with parsley and spinach his favorites. He's the cutest darn thing we"ve ever seen and its been a pleasure to be his foster family!! Thanks to Shana for giving him so much love in his foster home....

Momma Charlotte and Babes

Here is the second momma to give birth a few days after Josie did. While she didn't seem to have quite as much experience as Josie in the baby department she is turning out to be a great mom! As you can see from the baby picture the five babies are "percolating" along quite nicely!
