Bun In A Bin

Miss Misty loved to move her hay around her x-pen and "decorate" with it which led to more of it being sat on then eaten! In order to keep her home tidier and the hay more "munchable" I got her a wire basket and attached it to the x-pen. I placed her litter box next to it so she could continue to sit in it while she munched out of her new hay rack. She was apparently so excited by the new hay rack she promptly jumped into it to eat! I then moved it further off the ground but as you can see by the pictures the girl is not afraid of heights! I wonder...how high can she fly???

Sally and Lucy go to school!

If you're thinking these bunnies look somewhat familiar you would be correct! Sally and Lucy are Lofa Chewy Goodness Bun's sisters!!!!!! They are being fostered by a gal named Amy and her family. Amy works at an elementary school so the buns got to go for a fun play day which they seemed by the pictures to enjoy. The kids gave Sally and Lucy lots of love and attention plus they got a snack and a chance to nap in a cubicle when they were tuckered out.....is there anything better than a snack and your own cubicle????? Thanks Amy and family for giving such love and care to the foster buns....YOU ROCK!

Bambi finds her forever human!

Little Miss Bambi has found her human!!!! I was contacted by a gal who was smitten like a kitten when when saw Bambi on the Humane Society website. Turns out she had plenty of bunny experience specifically with small bunnies with big attitudes and happens to love them...:) After e-mailing back and forth for a few weeks a meet and greet was set up and both Bambi and her person hit it off right away and that was the beginning of what will hopefully be a long and "hoppy" relationship! Congratulations Bambi on being recognized for the fabulous gal you are, I will miss you!

Introducing Bambi!

Please meet " Bambi" the Netherland Dwarf with the small stature but BIG personality!!! Bambi came to stay with me as she was very cage aggressive at the shelter and did not like being handled at all......:( Although still getting use to being picked up(its scary when you're so little!)
she is much calmer now and has taken to falling asleep on my lap while being petted. She will probably always have a little "attitude" which is common with the dwarf breeds but if someone is willing to be patient and give her lots of love they will be rewarded with a great companion....are you a match for Bambi?

More Food Please!

Its truly amazing the amount of food a baby bunny can put away at each feeding time. I know horses have always been referred to as "Hay Burners" but I'll put my rabbit family up against them anyday!! They are always up for a meal whether salad, pellets or more hay.... the gray/white one in the bottom picture always makes sure to keep on eye on you in case you make a move for her snack! They are filling out nicely and will be seperated into their boy/girl catagories for living arrangements very soon! I could just sit and watch them all day...

JUPITER...AKA "ROCKET MAN"

Please meet my bunny buddy "Jupiter". His name when he came to the shelter was Juniper, but after bringing him home and watching him during free play time it was obvious Jupiter was a more fitting name. He loves to rocket around the living room and is very skilled in "happy dance" moves! He's a curious fellow who loves to explore and makes sure to make the rounds of all the foster bunnies... someone might be doing something fun he can join in on!!! Someone with bunny experience that would have time to interact and let him run free(he gets bored and chews on his cage wires if left in to much) would be a good match for Jupiter....he's a fun bun and would love to get settled into his permanent home.
